This win marks their 13th consecutive dual overall and 11th of the season, solidifying their stronghold in the wrestling arena.
Fifth Straight Victory with Over 30 Points
For the fifth consecutive dual, Northern Iowa demonstrated their prowess by scoring over 30 team points. Additionally, they clinched bonus points in five of their seven wins, including an impressive streak of three consecutive technical falls towards the end of the dual. This remarkable performance underscores their exceptional skill and determination on the mat.
Coach Schwab’s Milestone Dual
Friday night’s duel was not only a triumph for the UNI Panthers but also a milestone for head coach Doug Schwab. It marked his 200th dual as the leader of the Panther Train, a remarkable achievement that places him among the coaching greats at UNI.
