Five Des Moines residents are now facing charges in connection with a significant fentanyl trafficking operation following a months-long investigation, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa on Friday. This development comes after a series of arrests were made on Wednesday, with four of the suspects apprehended in Des Moines and one in Houston, Texas.

Approximately 610 grams of a heroin/fentanyl mixture, 135 grams of methamphetamine, 260 grams of marijuana, 19 guns, and over $13,000 were confiscated during the operation.
