Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Celebrates 2025 Inductees at Arnolds Park

This summer, music enthusiasts from all over Iowa will gather at Arnolds Park to honor the latest inductees into the prestigious Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. With over 30 bands, musicians, and music venues set to be recognized, the event promises to be a celebration of Iowa’s rich musical heritage.

A Moving Tribute to Iowa’s Musical Talent

Ralph Kluseman, president of the northwest Iowa-based association, expressed his excitement for the upcoming induction ceremony, highlighting the importance of recognizing the talent that Iowa has to offer.

“We get to celebrate the talent that Iowa is so blessed with, and this is the thing we look forward to all year long,” Kluseman shared. “When we bring everybody together, it creates an even bigger family every year. This is our 28th induction since this great idea was brought into the world.”

The induction celebration, scheduled for Labor Day weekend, will feature a variety of activities, including a ceremony where attendees can hear and see the individuals who have made a significant impact on their lives.

A Weekend of Music and Memories

Kluseman emphasized the emotional significance of the event, noting that the bios and presentations of the inductees make for a moving experience.

“They may have been listening to them or seen them when they were teenagers, or young parents, or whatever the case may be,” Kluseman explained. “But when we get the bios done and we get the presentations done, it’s a very moving event that brings back such a thrill.”

From the opening ceremony on Saturday morning to the “meet and greet” for inductees on Saturday night, the weekend promises to be filled with music, memories, and camaraderie.

Honoring Iowa’s Musical Legends

Among the bands being inducted are Galaxy, Witch Hazel, Wicked Liz & the Belly Swirls, Kory & the Fireflys, Sons of Gladys Kravitz, The Chevrons, Homegrown Band, and Mirage. Individual honorees include Gary Lambert, Tory Steffregen, Kenny Kugel (deceased), Mark Doyle, Dick Howard, Scott Moore, Stacy Peterson, Chad Elliott, Tim Miller, and Larry Hrubes. Additionally, two venues, The Depot in Shenandoah and the Ollinger Ballroom in Pocahontas, will be recognized for their contributions to Iowa’s music scene.
