Bradley John Vonnahme, age 41, of Coon Rapids, IA, tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident near Mason City on Saturday, December 28, 2024. As the community mourns the loss of a beloved member, funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll, officiated by Deacon Alan Loew.

Remembering a Life Well-Lived
Brad, born on April 28, 1983, in Carroll, IA, was a cherished son of Ronald and Mary Vonnahme. Growing up in the Carroll and Templeton area, he attended Carroll High School and pursued further education at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls and Western Iowa Tech in Denison. A dedicated individual, Brad held various jobs, with his most recent role at Carroll Hydraulics.

A Life of Passion and Dedication
On April 10, 2010, Brad married the love of his life, Joy Johnson, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. Their journey led them to make a home in Coon Rapids in 2022, where they embraced life’s adventures with open arms. Brad’s enthusiasm for life was contagious, evident in his recent accomplishment of obtaining his Class A CDL in December. He found joy in riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, playing cards, attending figure eight races, smoking meats, and lending a helping hand to his loved ones.

A Legacy of Love and Laughter
Survived by his wife Joy, sons Caiden and Brooks, parents Ronald and Mary, brother Jason, sister Barb, and a host of extended family members, Brad’s impact on those around him was immeasurable. His vibrant spirit and genuine nature touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

As the community gathers to pay tribute to Brad’s memory, a visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to support his children’s education.
