Sharon Krominga: A Legacy of Love and Laughter
Sharon Marie Krominga, a beloved member of the Mason City, Iowa community, passed away unexpectedly in her home on January 1, 2025. She was 75 years old. Sharon’s life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church on January 8, 2025, followed by burial at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held the day before at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.
### A Life Well-Lived
Sharon was born on March 9, 1949, to Donald and Geraldine Osier in Greene, Iowa. After graduating from Greene High School, she joined MercyOne North Iowa in 1968, where she worked as a dedicated Unit Clerk for 55 years. In 1974, Sharon married Randy Krominga, with whom she raised two daughters and a son. Despite their divorce, Sharon and Randy maintained a strong friendship based on mutual respect.

Sharon’s true joy in life came from her role as a mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren, attending their events and supporting them in every way possible. Known for her lively personality and generous spirit, Sharon was loved by many. She had a passion for baking, crafting, and watching her favorite TV shows. Sharon’s creative nature shone through in her love for making tie-blankets for babies, a testament to her nurturing soul.
