A Life Well-Lived

Gary Lee Zeitler was born on September 3, 1961, in Moline, Illinois, to David and Eva Zeitler. He graduated from East Moline High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army and National Guard. After his military service, Gary returned to Iowa and held various jobs in the Moline area before settling in Britt. He worked for Robert Eden and Smidley Manufacturing before finding his long-time home at the Original Saw Company, where he dedicated 25 years of service before retiring.

Gary’s love for his family was evident in his devotion to his wife, Barb Zeitler, and their children and grandchildren. Gary’s passion for 70’s music, car restoration, and his favorite TV shows brought joy to those around him, and his carpentry skills were a gift to his loved ones.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Gary leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and hard work. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the stories and moments shared with him. As the community gathers to celebrate his life, let us remember Gary L.
