Her memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton, with a visitation the day prior at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory.

Caroline’s life was marked by her unwavering generosity and love. Born in Springville, Iowa, on May 3, 1936, to James and Opal Clark, she dedicated herself to spreading joy to all those around her. Caroline’s journey of love began when she married Richard McShane in 1955, with whom she shared a life filled with laughter and shared passions.

Caroline’s professional journey was diverse, from working at Deco in Decorah to serving as a Meter Maid and dispatcher for the New Hampton Police Department. Beyond her work, she was actively involved in her community, participating in various groups and volunteering her time with the Meals on Wheels Program. Her dedication to her family, friends, and community was unparalleled.

She is survived by her children, Steve, Gary, and Christine, her sister Sharon, sister-in-law Sharon, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
