April Sue Morey: A Life Remembered
Livermore, Iowa – April Morey, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew her. She was 41 years old.
A Life Cut Short
April Sue Morey was born on April 1, 1983, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Terry and Lori Byrum. She attended Ottumwa High School, graduating in 2001. On November 16, 2001, she married the love of her life, John Morey. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories.
Tragically, April’s life was cut short, leaving behind her husband, John Morey; father, Terry Byrum; siblings, Robin Grothe and Charlie Byrum; sister-in-law, Joyce Hansen; brother-in-law, James Morey; friend, Jerry Robertson; nieces, Kaitlan, Paige, and Emily Grothe; and great-nephew, Kingston Grothe. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandmother.
A Celebration of Life
In honor of April’s memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Lentz Funeral Home of Livermore is assisting the family during this difficult time.
