Born on May 3, 1947, to Raymond Carson Riley and Geraldine Viola (Nielson) Riley, Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service that touched the lives of many in the community.

Richard, affectionately known as Dick, was a man of many talents and passions. Graduating from Iowa Falls in 1965, he went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969, focusing on ground to air communications maintenance. After his military service, Dick embarked on a 30-year career with AT&T (Northwestern Bell) from 1971 to 2001, starting as a lineman and working his way up to a network engineer.
A Love for Family and Community
Dick’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He enjoyed woodworking projects, tinkering with cars, and sharing his knowledge with his children and family members. His commitment to helping others and offering advice whenever needed made him a beloved figure in the community.
A Lasting Impact
In recent years, Dick found joy in reconnecting with old classmates and spending time on the golf course. His warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Dick is survived by his brother Gary, brother-in-law Dean Walker, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren, daughters, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends who will carry on his memory with love and respect.
