So, like, three 19-year-olds from Adel are in some serious trouble for starting a fire that messed up a bridge on the Raccoon River Valley Trail in central Iowa. The Dallas County Sheriff spilled the tea and said that these three somehow managed to break through a locked chain-link fence under the bridge and set a fire that got out of control real quick, setting the whole bridge ablaze. Apparently, they tried to put the fire out themselves, but for some reason didn’t bother calling the fire department.

Charges got slapped on Daniel Sheeder for second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree trespassing. Then, Ezra Coulter and Leola Pierce got hit with first-degree criminal mischief, trespassing, and reckless use of fire charges. The Dallas County Conservation Department crunched the numbers and figured out that it’s gonna cost around $896,000 to fix the bridge. That’s a whole lotta dough, man.

I mean, not really sure why this matters, but these three kids from Adel decided to play with fire and now they’re in some deep trouble. The Sheriff spilled the beans and said they broke through a locked fence under the bridge and started a fire that got way out of hand. They tried to be the heroes and put it out themselves, but for some reason, they didn’t think to call the fire department. Now they’re facing some serious charges and a hefty bill to fix the damage. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like they should’ve thought this through a bit more before lighting things up.

In the end, it’s a costly mistake that these three are gonna have to pay for, both literally and figuratively. Let this be a lesson to everyone out there – playing with fire is never a good idea, especially when it ends up costing nearly a million bucks to fix the mess. Just a friendly reminder to think before you act, folks.
