Remembering Jackie John Frank: A Life Well-Lived

The community of Mason City, Iowa, is mourning the loss of a beloved member, Jackie John Frank, who passed away at the age of 66, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, January 13, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.

A Life Celebrated

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in honor of Jackie Frank from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Mason City. The burial will take place in the spring at Rock Grove Cemetery in Nora Springs, Iowa.

Born on March 27, 1958, to Joe and JoAnn Frank, Jackie was a cherished member of the Mason City community. He graduated from Mason City High School and began his career at local gas stations, Warco and Connico. Later on, he worked at the Clear Lake Bakery until an injury forced him to retire in 1997.

A Life Full of Love and Laughter

In 1978, Jackie married Pamela Shores, with whom he had two daughters. Despite their later divorce, Jackie found love again in June 2005 when he married Kimberly Christian. An avid outdoorsman, Jackie enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a dedicated family man who adored his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Jackie’s passion for sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings, baseball, and wrestling, brought joy to his life. He cherished moments spent with his family, including his brother Gary and nephew Don, riding roller coasters at Valleyfair.

Legacy of Love

Jackie is survived by his wife, Kimberly Frank; daughters, Tara Frank and JoAnn Frank; grandchildren, McKayla, Trevor, Colin, Kyra, and McKenzie; special nephew, Steve Frank; longtime friend Michael Kane; and other family members. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In his memory, let us remember the joy and laughter Jackie brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished in the Mason City community. Rest in peace, Jackie John Frank.
