CEDAR FALLS – The UNI wrestling team showcased their prowess in the 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships, storming past both the Sacred Heart Pioneers and the Ohio Bobcats with commanding victories.
In an electrifying display of skill and determination, the Panthers left their opponents reeling with a resounding 38-7 win over Sacred Heart and a dominant 48-3 victory against Ohio. Northern Iowa’s stellar performance was highlighted by a remarkable 15 bonus point victories, including five pins, propelling them to the semifinal round on Saturday morning.

The day kicked off with No. 32 Trever Anderson securing a victory by forfeit at 125 pounds, setting the tone for UNI’s relentless onslaught. Julian Farber’s technical fall win at 133 pounds, Cael Happel’s impressive performance at 141 pounds, and Colin Realbuto’s tenacious victory at 149 pounds showcased the team’s unwavering determination and skill.
