Her tenure in public service left an indelible mark on her community and the state at large, solidifying her reputation as a compassionate and effective leader.
In 1996, Beverly’s path crossed with Richard Forbes at a big band concert at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA. A chance encounter blossomed into a love story that spanned 25 years, filled with adventures that took them across the globe. From exploring Ireland and Germany to visiting the Holy Land and embarking on Mediterranean cruises, Beverly and Dick shared a deep bond that transcended borders and cultures.
Their mutual love for travel led them to become snowbirds in the early 2000s, dividing their time between various locations in Iowa and Florida. Despite their globetrotting escapades, Beverly’s heart remained tethered to Clear Lake, where she cultivated enduring friendships and cherished memories. The unwavering support and care they received from the Touched By An Angel home health care service enabled Beverly and Dick to remain in the comfort of their home, surrounded by love and compassion.
