North Iowa Area Community College Partners with La Luz Centro Cultural to Offer ESL Classes in Hampton, North Iowa
North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) is thrilled to announce its partnership with La Luz Centro Cultural to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in Hampton. These classes are specifically tailored for adults aged 18 and above whose native language is not English, with the aim of enhancing their speaking, reading, writing, and listening abilities within a supportive and welcoming setting.
Opportunity for Language Development and Community Engagement
An open house and mandatory orientation are scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, from 5-8pm at La Luz Centro Cultural, situated at 7 2nd Ave NE in Hampton. Subsequent classes will convene on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8pm at La Luz. These sessions are designed to accommodate various proficiency levels, ranging from beginners to more advanced learners, allowing each participant to progress at their own pace. The ESL class sessions span eight weeks, with compulsory attendance required. Students can continue enrolling in subsequent sessions until they have attained fluency in English. The initial class will accommodate the first 12 individuals who register. In the event of more than 12 interested participants, a waiting list will be established to accommodate additional students.
