Remembering Mark Brian Flesche: A Tribute

The community of Lake Mills, IA, mourns the unexpected passing of Mark Brian Flesche, a beloved member of the town, who died on Friday, January 17, at the age of 57 in his home.

Celebration of Life Visitation

In honoring Mark’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Schott Funeral Home – Mittelstadt Chapel in Lake Mills, IA. Instead of flowers, the family suggests making donations in Mark’s memory.

A Life Remembered

Mark was born on May 15, 1967, in Austin, Minnesota, and was adopted by Carolyn and Marlowe Flesche. He grew up on a farm in Ellendale, Minnesota, alongside his sister, Terrie Mollenmaster, and graduated from Ellendale High School in 1986.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Tanya Flesche, his sister Terrie, son Derek, stepchildren Marcus, Kaley, Christopher Jr, and Madison, as well as his cherished grandchildren Teegan, Makayla, Dawson, Bryson, Ashton, and Daxton.

A Kind-Hearted Soul

Mark spent 14 years working at Shell Rapid Lube in Albert Lea, where he poured his heart into fixing cars and creating in his “man cave” with his 3D printer and vinyl cutter. Known for his generous spirit and infectious sense of humor, Mark touched the lives of many with his selfless nature and ability to bring joy to those around him.

Mark’s legacy lives on through the memories and laughter he shared with his loved ones, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As the community gathers to celebrate his life, they remember Mark Brian Flesche with love and gratitude for the light he brought into their lives.
