Javier Hernandez, 39, of Perry, was behind the wheel of a 2005 Chevy Colorado pickup, with Amelia Hernandez, 62, also from Perry, as a passenger. Their vehicle collided with a 2022 Volkswagen Taos driven by Reid Schaefer, 50, of Perry, accompanied by Christine Schaefer, 49.
Tragically, Javier and Amelia Hernandez lost their lives at the scene of the crash, sending shockwaves through the community.
