In a thrilling showdown at Beyer Hall, the UNI Panther swimming and diving team showcased their talent and determination against the Iowa State Cyclones. The Panther team, returning to the pool for the first time since November, delivered a series of remarkable individual performances that captivated the audience. Erica Peters stole the spotlight by dominating the one-meter springboard competition, securing a career-best score of 269.95. This exceptional performance not only earned her a victory but also secured her spot in the NCAA Diving Zones in Iowa City this coming March.
Meanwhile, Morgan Meyer showcased her prowess by clinching two individual first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. Her remarkable times of 52.24 and 1:55.67, respectively, highlighted her skill and determination in the pool. Faith Larsen, the two-time defending Missouri Valley Conference 50-yard freestyle champion, continued her winning streak by outperforming her competitors with a time of 23.98 in the event.

The Panther team’s success was not limited to individual events, as they also excelled in relay competitions. The 200-yard freestyle relay team, composed of Abby Lear, Larsen, Meyer, and Waren Graeve, clinched the top spot with a stellar time of 1:36.21.
