Todd W. Grove, a cherished member of the community in North Iowa, passed away at the age of 62 in his home in Garner on December 24, 2024. This article serves as a tribute to his remarkable life and legacy.

A Life Well-Lived

Todd William Grove, born on August 1, 1962, in Algona, was the son of Ron and Dorie Grove. He attended Garner-Hayfield High School and went on to have a fulfilling career as a skilled electrician. Todd’s professional journey took him to various places, including Afghanistan, where he worked as a contractor on U.S. military bases. He also spent time in Oklahoma and Texas, contributing his expertise to the pipelines in the Permian Basin. Despite his extensive travels, Todd always found his way back home to Garner, where he eventually retired.

Remembering Todd

Described as a kind and generous soul, Todd was known for his love of family, card games, and helping others in need. His warm spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impact on those around him. Todd is survived by his mother, Dorie Grove, three siblings, and eight nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two stepdaughters, Jordan Pruessner and Taylor Peterson, whom he treated as his own.

Honoring Todd’s Memory

A memorial mass will be held in Todd’s honor at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church in West Des Moines. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and celebrate Todd’s life.
